Vinted, Depop or eBay: where is the best place to sell clothes in the UK?

Fees, buyer costs, postage and strengths of the three big platforms in the UK.

kiki works with all three platforms. We don’t earn money from any of them.

In short

Our recommendation for most womenswear and children’s clothes is Vinted: no selling fee and simple postage with a prepaid label. On Depop UK sellers pay no selling fee either, but a payment processing fee of 2.9% + £0.30 per sale. eBay is worth it for vintage, sought-after brands, menswear and outdoor clothing, and is free for UK private sellers. On all three, the buyer pays a fee on top (as of October 2026).

Frequently asked questions

Where do clothes sell fastest?

Our recommendation for fashion: Vinted, where everything is geared to clothes and postage.

Can I sell on several platforms at once?

Yes, but take the item down everywhere as soon as it sells, or you’ll sell it twice.

Where is vintage worth the most?

Our recommendation: often eBay, because buyers search there in a targeted way and auctions are possible. Depop is also worth a try for vintage.
