GUIDE · LISTING TEXT
Vinted descriptions: a template and examples that sell.
One example to copy and three tones for every platform.
In short
A good Vinted description answers questions before they're asked: brand, size from the label, condition with concrete details, measurements, material and fit. Add a sentence or two on how to wear it. Short, honest, in full sentences.
- Facts first
- Condition in detail
- One styling sentence

- Size from the label and how it fits
- Condition in detail: “worn twice, no stains, no pilling”
- Measurements: pit to pit, length, sleeve in cm
- Material according to the label
- Optional: how to wear it

Frequently asked questions
How long should a Vinted description be?
Long enough that no questions are left open. Four to eight lines are usually enough.
Should I use hashtags?
A few fitting words for style or occasion can help. Long lists of hashtags look unprofessional.
Can I use AI for the text?
Yes. But check every detail, especially size, material and condition. You're responsible for mistakes.
What do I write about flaws?
Exactly where and how big: “small stain on the left sleeve, about 5 mm, see photo 5”. Vinted's photo tips also advise showing every flaw in a photo.
