GUIDE · VINTED
Why your Vinted item isn't selling: 9 reasons.
And what you can change about each one straight away.
AI-generatedIn short
It's often the cover photo, the price or missing details. Show the whole item well lit, ideally worn, without putting yourself in the picture, put the brand and size in the title and base the price on sold listings. List seasonal items just before the season starts.

Why isn't my item selling on Vinted?
The cover photo doesn't convince.
Dark, crooked, on the bed, crumpled. New cover photo: the whole item, daylight, a calm wall, ideally shown worn, on a dress form or as a labelled AI try-on.
Buyers can't see how it fits.
On a hanger, length, width and drape stay unclear. Show it worn without putting yourself in the picture, and give measurements. Vinted's photo tips themselves advise against showing your face in photos.
The size is missing from the title.
Vinted advises including specific details such as brand, colour and type in the title; for us the size belongs there too. “Black blazer” gets overlooked, “Zara black blazer size M” doesn't.
The price is based on new items.
Compare with sold listings, not live ones. Listed doesn't mean sold.
The description is too thin.
“Barely worn” answers no questions. Condition, material, fit and measurements do.
Flaws are hidden.
Buyers who suspect flaws but can't see them would rather buy elsewhere. Show them openly.
It's the wrong season.
Winter coats don't move in June. List seasonal items just before the season starts.
Too few photos.
A single photo looks as if there's something to hide. Vinted allows up to 20 photos per listing. Our recommendation: front view, back, label, details and every flaw.
The profile looks empty.
No profile photo, no reviews, not a word about you. Vinted recommends verifying your profile and adding a message in your About me section.
Should I delete items and list them again?
An item that has sat for weeks without interest usually needs a new cover photo, a better title or a different price, not just a fresh upload. Change the cover photo first; it's the biggest lever. If you relist, do it with improved photos and details.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take for something to sell on Vinted?
That depends on brand, season and price. If an item has no favourites after two or three weeks, rework the cover photo and the price.
Does lowering the price help?
Often, yes, but only after the cover photo and title. A bad photo sells badly even at half the price.
What do lots of favourites without a sale mean?
The item interests people, but something holds them back: often the price, or open questions about size and condition. Vinted suggests sending an offer to buyers who favourite your item.
Is a paid Bump worth it?
Only once photos, title and price are right. Otherwise you're paying for more people to see a weak cover photo.
